Chart Talk User Receives $18,000 for Demonstrating Meaningful Use

Sibley, IA − 11/28/2011

Mighty Oak Technology, Inc. is excited to announce that Dr. Brian Sayler of Sibley, IA. has received the full $18,000 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Dr. Sayler successfully attested for Meaningful Use and now, eight weeks later, has received the full $18,000 available in the first year of the incentive program. That translates to a full return on his investment in under 60 days. Plus, over the next three (3) years with Mighty Oak´s support he is eligible to receive an additional $26,000 with his fully certified EHR.

Dr. Sayler has been a customer of Mighty Oak and a proponent of speech recognition for many years. In fact, the upcoming chiropractic vocabulary for Dragon Medical is partially based on years of his documentation! When asked about how instrumental Mighty Oak´s Health Information Technology (HIT) support was in demonstrating meaningful use Dr. Sayler stated, "The [Mighty Oak] staff walked me through all the intricate steps that are required by CMS. [Attestation] was pretty easy and I am not computer savvy."

"Chart Talk does help with more than just your daily Chiropractic notes. Chart Talk also gives a complete understanding of what the patient has been through, what their history is, their medications, and their overall general health. This helps by educating the patient on how they need to take care of their entire body and not just their spine." said Dr. Sayler.

Congratulations Dr. Sayler! We are very proud to have you as our client!

Doctor Attests for Meaningful Use Using Chart Talk

7/6/2011, St. Paul, MN

Mighty Oak Technology, Inc is excited to announce that Dr. Chris Johnson, a chiropractor in St. Paul, has attested for meaningful use of Chart Talk, the fully certified electronic health record (EHR). Dr. Johnson is the first Chart Talk user to attest to possessing and demonstrating meaningful use of a certified EHR. In March of 2011 Chart Talk received full certification from The Drummond Group and Dr. Johnson hit the ground running.

Matt Richard, Vice President of Mighty Oak Technology, helped Dr. Johnson understand exactly what is required to demonstrate meaningful use. Matt and Dr. Johnson went through every measure, even the measures that can be excluded because they are not part of the standard practice of chiropractic.

“Our goal is for users to understand what makes meaningful use meaningful. We’ve created a schedule to ease health care professionals into meaningful use without overwhelming them. I’m very proud of Dr. Johnson, he’s the first of our Chart Talk users to reach the finish line.” says Mr. Richard.

Dr. Johnson admits that before he started being a meaningful user, he wasn't quite sure what meaningful use was. "I had heard about meaningful use, but was not sure what all it entailed. Matt Richard's expert advice helped guide me through achieving meaningful use. In fact I would have to say that achieving meaningful use was not hard at all. I would recommend Chart Talk to any chiropractor who is thinking about becoming a meaningful user. Mighty Oak Technology, Inc. has the knowledge and the know-how to help make it happen.”
